WPHR Students: Information on Posting your First Article
I just wanted to go over a few points about posting your first article based on some minor issues a few students have had.
The first is to give your article a proper title! When you go into the post editor to create/edit your article, notice the text box at the top, directly under where it says “Add New Post.” This is where you put the title of your article. I have noticed a few students put “Article 1″ or something similar in there in there – please put your article title there instead. Think of it as the “headline” for your article since that is really what it will become after publication.
I also wanted to mention previewing. If you would like to see what your article will look like if published, fist click on the “Save Draft” button, circled in blue below. Once you have done that, a link to “Preview Post” will appear just under the title, circled in red below. Click on this link to preview your article. Please note that the “Preview” button to the right of the “save draft” button does not work(we’re working on fixing that)
The second issue is that of when/how to submit your article. To receive credit for your article, you must first submit it via email to your section leader. Once you receive feedback, you can then update your article and submit it on wphr.org. Please note that while you can submit your article to wphr.org at any time, it is highly recommended that you wait until you have feedback on it.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to submit them in the discussion thread below – I will try to answer as soon as I can!
Thank you,
